Zones :

The zones section allows users to define and manage various geographical areas served by the transportation system. Here's a breakdown of the information displayed for each zone:

  • Zone Title: A name assigned to the zone for easy identification.
  • Radius: The operational radius of the zone, possibly specified in kilometers.

  • Address of Zone Center: The central address of the zone.

  • Contact Person: The name of a designated point of contact for the zone.

The "Zones" page in the Geo Module appears to offer an organized summary of all defined geographic areas within a certain service or operational network. Here's an overview of what seems to be the functionality for creating a new zone:

Add Zone

Initiating the zone creation process, this button likely takes the user to a form where they can define a new zone's parameters.

Zone Creation Form

  • Zone Title: Users will enter a name for the zone, which will be used to identify the area within the system.

  • Radius: They'll specify the coverage area of the zone by setting a radius distance from a central point, usually in miles or km.

  • Address of Zone Centre: This is likely where users input the central point from which the zone's radius is calculated. It could be a specific address or a general area.

  • Contact Person: Here, the user provides the name of the individual who will act as the primary point of contact for the zone.

After filling in the required information, the user would save the new zone with the Save button. If they decide against creating the zone at any point, they can opt to cancel the operation.

Creating a zone would affect several aspects of the system, such as fare calculations, service availability, and operational planning. It's a critical function for managers who need to segment their service areas into manageable and identifiable parts.

Upon clicking on a zone within the system, users are taken to a detailed view that provides comprehensive information about that specific zone. The page is likely divided into several sections, each detailing different aspects of the zone's setup:

Zone Information Section :

  • Zone Title: This field displays the name of the zone.

  • Radius: Shows the size of the zone in terms of radius distance.

  • Description: If provided, this section would contain additional details about the zone.

Zone Center Location Section :

  • Address Line: This lists the central point's address for the zone, which is "1750 Tysons Blvd Ste 1500, McLean, VA 22102, USA".

  • Country: Indicates the country in which the zone is located, "United States" in this example.

  • Zone Map: A visual map is provided (with options for Map and Satellite views), showing the geographical location of the zone center.

Fare Details Section :

This section would typically contain fare-related information for trips within the zone. Fields for base fare, waiting fee, surge pricing, and other fare adjustments are present but currently have no data ("-").

Zone Contacts Section :

  • Contact Person Name: The designated contact person for the zone.

  • Contact No.: The contact phone number for the zone representative.

  • Contact Email: An email address for the zone contact would go here.

On this detailed view page, users also can Edit or Delete the zone, as indicated by the buttons in the upper-right corner. These functions allow for updates to the zone information or removal of the zone from the system if needed.
