Settings

The "Settings" section within the "Drivers" module of the system seems to be a configuration dashboard where various parameters related to driver management can be adjusted. Here is a breakdown of the subsections and their functionalities:

  • Driver Login Method: This setting allows the system administrator to select the method by which drivers will log in to the system or app. It could include options such as using an email address, a phone number, or a unique driver ID.
  • Trip Assignment Buffer: This numeric value represents the amount of time, likely in minutes, given to drivers to accept a trip after it's assigned to them before it's passed on to another driver.
  • Customer Review Options: These are preset tags or attributes that customers can select when reviewing a driver. Tags like "Good Behaviour," "Interesting Conversation," and "Well Cleaned Car" suggest specific areas of service that can be commended. Administrators can add or remove these options as necessary.
  • Driver Onboarding Questions: This section lists additional questions that can be included during the driver onboarding process in the customer app. Examples given are inquiries about the age of the driver's licenses and their experience with different car models, which are likely intended to assess the driver's experience and suitability.
  • PAN CARD: This option suggests that the system collects the Permanent Account Number (PAN) as part of the driver's financial information, which is used in India for tax purposes.
  • Accepted ID Document Types: Here, administrators can configure which types of identification documents are acceptable for driver onboarding. The examples provided are "Driving Licence," "Citizenship ID card," and "Passport." Additional document types can be added according to the company's compliance requirements.
  • Trip Cancellation Reasons for Driver: This segment allows for the specification of reasons a driver can select when canceling a trip. The listed reasons, like "Rider asking to go far place," "Misbehaviour," or "Rider not responding," help in categorizing trip cancellations for analysis and record-keeping.

The overarching purpose of this section is to provide control over various operational aspects of managing drivers, ensuring that the process aligns with company policies and service standards. Adjustments made here would typically apply to all drivers within the system. The "Save Changes" button at the bottom suggests that after making modifications, an administrator must save them for the changes to take effect.
